With the weather cooling down, we are turning toward rum-based cocktails that warm both the hands and the soul.

๐Ÿ‚ Hot Buttered Rum

This oneโ€™s pure liquid mischief. A bold blend of dark rum, brown sugar, butter and spice โ€” simple, strong, and seriously satisfying.

Ingredients:

60ml Rusty Barrel Gold rum

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 pat of unsalted butter

A pinch of cinnamon & nutmeg

Hot water to top

Method: Add the butter, sugar, and spices to a mug. Pour in the rum, then top with hot water. Stir until everything is melted and combined. Garnish with a cinnamon stick if you like.

๐ŸŽ Spiced Rum Apple Cider

When spiced rum crashes the apple cider party, things get interesting. This cocktailโ€™s all about turning up the heat, turning down the nonsense, and sipping your way through the colder months like the cheeky rule-breaker you are.

Ingredients:

60ml Rusty Barrel Spiced rum

120ml hot apple cider

Cinnamon stick (optional)

Orange slice for garnish

Method: Heat apple cider in a small pot or microwave. Pour into a mug, add rum, stir and garnish.

Childhood memories, meet your rebellious upgrade. Weโ€™ve taken your cosy hot choc, spiked it with rum, and given it a creamy crown of whipped indulgence. Naughty, nice, and never boring.

Ingredients:

60ml Rusty Barrel Gold or Spiced rum

180ml hot chocolate

Whipped cream and chocolate shavings (optional)

Method: Make your favourite hot chocolate, stir in the rum, and top with whipped cream for extra indulgence.

Bold, spicy, and a little bit moody โ€” just how we like it. This twist on the classic cuts through the cooler evenings with a hit of ginger and citrus.

60ml Rusty Barrel Gold Rum

Ginger beer

Dash of bitters

Squeeze of lime

Optional: muddle a slice of fresh ginger

Method: Fill a glass with ice, pour in the rum, top with ginger beer, add bitters and lime. Stir gently.
