Rusty Barrel Australian Gold Rum
Description
Rusty Barrel Gold Rum - Aged 3 Years. Born Reckless.
Forget your safe sippers, this small-batch Gold Rum spent three years soaking up attitude in re-charred American oak puncheons that once held bold South Australian red wine. That heritage runs deep. The 300L casks give it a swagger all their own - complex, layered, and unapologetically rich, thanks to the hot Aussie climate and a hell of a lot of patience.
Distilled from local ingredients and bottled at a clean 40%, this rum doesn’t hide behind gimmicks. It wears its story on its sleeve - loud, raw, and real.
On the nose? Think dried apricots, warm spice, and enough vanilla to stir some memories. The palate hits hard and smooth — honey, banoffee pie, vanilla custard, and toasted almonds, all riding a wave of creamy chaos. The finish? Long. Roasted coffee and dark chocolate echo like a bar fight you don’t regret.
This isn't just rum. It’s character in a bottle - rough around the edges, dangerously smooth, and always ready for one more round.
Rusty Barrel Spirits - Sip like you mean it.
Tasting Notes:
Nose has aromas of banana oil, tea and valerian notes, with undertones of high esters. Nice and buttery and light on the palate. There are some green wood characters and heat on the palate too.
